We meet on Sunday mornings @ 10:30am HomeCity Church is a ministry being planted into the greater Buffalo area with the heart & desire to win souls for the Kingdom of God.We are brothers & sisters in Christ who are burdened with the desire to see God renew the city of Buffalo with a phenomenal revival. We are crying out for the city of Buffalo like God asking Ezekiel, "Can these bones live again?" This Church was planted by Dr. David & Ruth Shamenda who are originally from Southern Africa. Most recently prior to coming to WNY, David planted two churches - one in Atlanta, Georgia & one in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He has been a Pastor for over 20 years & has worked jointly with his wife Ruth pastoring from Harare, Zimbabwe to Livingstone, Zambia and now to the United States. In addition to church planting, David has been involved in leadership training and Biblical school education. He has also held many seminars & revivals across Southern Africa, Europe, & the USA. David is from Zambia, and his wife Ruth is from Zimbabwe. The Lord has put a burden on David to come to the Buffalo area for such a time as this. -= Our Vision =- Without vision, we are aimless. Abraham, the father of many nations, had a vision for a city, and this vision gave him an impetus to obey God and go to a land which he did not know. To produce any quality fruit, a vision must come from God. Across the world, God is stirring hearts to similar visions as that which we have at HomeCity Church - to win souls in the city. Our vision is for us to be a multicultural church family that: • shares God’s love with all who live in the Buffalo area • calls lost people to full salvation in Jesus Christ • invites believers to become fully devoted followers of Jesus • lives transformed lives by the direction of God's Word & the power of His Holy Spirit • and so, becomes a part of God's renewal & revival of the people He loves in the Buffalo area. We are seeking co-laborers who will embrace our vision with willing hearts. These have to be driven by determination towards accomplishing God will & seeing souls saved in the Buffalo area. We want to see the city from God’s perspective. The Biblical teachings of the Wesleyan Church offer truth & direction for lost people in our culture. Hope & holiness are not merely pleasant words, but they are powerful, Biblical ideas that offer a clear call to the lost, those who live now without hope & need the inner moral compass to lead a God honoring life & lifestyle. The soul who truly encounters the living God will be saved, and hope will flood his or her life. The new believer who seeks after God's promises & character becomes a transformed person whose life is so remarkably changed that they also attract others to the Truth. As a team, we dare to hope that the God we serve will not only transform individual lives but also use us to touch & change the very fabric of the culture in which we live today. This is done in such a way that many respond by looking to God, and we will be able to use the word "revival" once again in WNY. -= Convictions Governing Our Goals =- God does not build the church on methods or practices but upon Jesus Christ & His revelatory Truth. Whatever we do as a church must be based solidly in convictions drawn from our understanding of the Word of God. Before ever discussing our goals or how we plan & hope to reach them, we first acknowledge & stand firm on these Scriptural convictions & values: • God Cares Deeply for the Local Church Each & every local church is important to God, and God puts all His resources at the disposal of the Church body. The work of God should emanate from local churches. If the local church is weak, the work of God suffers in the Earth. God's purpose for the ministry is to strengthen, encourage, & build up the local church (Ephesians 4:11). If the local church is important to God, then so are its leaders. God intends for each local church to be led by a healthy & well balanced leadership team. • Unity in the Church is Vital There is only one body of Christ (Ephesians 4:4). Scripture teaches that Christ is head over everything & that the Church is His body. HomeCity Church looks to be a local expression of Christ’s body in the Buffalo area. We are aware of the need to work with other congregations to accomplish the vision which God has given us. We will not remain isolated from other fellowships & networks - both within Western New York & across the world. It is our conviction that we will strive to dialogue with & to work with all legitimate efforts to further the Kingdom of God - listening carefully to what God is saying through the congregation, community, & the world. We are willing to be teachable & corrected if need be. • There is a Need for Identifying & Releasing Spiritual Gifts We encourage everyone at HomeCity Church to understand the need of holiness, sanctification, & Spiritual gifts. We believe that one of the ways which God exhibits His care for the local churches is by giving them leaders according to the five ministry gifts which are listed in Ephesians 4:11. HomeCity Church believes in & depends upon the supernatural working of God to support & sustain the work of His church. • HomeCity Church will Reproduce Herself to Plant Other Churches When a country is economically strong, that strength is partially measured by what it exports, not by what it takes in. As a Wesleyan Church, HomeCity Church’s desire is to export itself (in obedience to the Great Commission) in two ways: (1) by planting new churches & (2) by involvement in the worldwide harvest. • HomeCity Church will be Involved in Global Mission Work Missions work is not only traveling abroad & helping to feed the needy. It is also the priceless experience found in the spirit of different nationalities expressing their gratitude to God in their own way of worship & praise. Seeing the poverty stricken areas & the devastations, one might expect to see so much pain in the people’s eyes. Yet in many cases, one will instead see people exalting God despite their circumstances - with such a peace that surpasses all understanding. Our goal is to make all the church continually aware of opportunities & ministries of global missions. Short term mission trips will be available for those desiring to get involved in missions. -= A Few of the Kingdom's Workers at HomeCity Church =- As in the parable of the talents, God both grows & increases the gifts of those who are faithful. The titles here express but a portion of the involvement of those listed, and many more persons might also easily be listed for all their hard work. Whether of not we may mention every person or their specific gifts, we fully appreciate each & every member of the body of Christ here at HomeCity Church. Lead Pastor: Dr. David (& Ruth) Shamenda Worship Leader: Jackie Davis Tech & Media Director: John-Mark Costello

Today at 11:00am Wednesday word, Facebook live. I will be teaching the difference between prophecy and divination.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12: 1-3
